Buddy's Story
Buddy is approximately 8 years old.
He came to us in a terrible state and we honestly thought we would loose him. He was originally picked up as a stray and taken to kennels were he served his 7 days, in this time he was scanned and found to be microchipped, his owners were contacted several times but never ever came hor him, he waited and waited at the stray kennels for his family to pick him up, but they never did. Unfortunately whilst in kennels Buddy developed a VERY severe case of kennel cough and also lost alot of weight. As his owners never came to pick him up we were then contacted to see if we would take him. So we went the next day to pick him up, he was a bag of bones and could hardly breathe, his head hung low and he was so depressed. As he was full of kennel cough he needed a dog free foster home so we drove down to Telford and a lovely family offered to help and nurse him back to health. Unfortunately Buddy went downhill rapidly and was rushed to the vets. He was kept in and operated on the next day, he needed an emergency tracheotomy to help him breathe, we wernt sure if he would pull through this op and it did take him quite a while to recover, he went downhill after his operation and was rushed back to the vets again, but luckily he managed to pull through.
He is now on the road to recovery but unfortunately does have some heart problems aswell so will also have to be on medication for life. Buddy has gained a nice amount of weight and is doing really well, his foster home fell in love with him and decided to adopt him. He is such a loving gentle boy, you would never believe he had been though so much. Many people helped donate to Buddy's vet bill and we are so greatfull to all that helped.
