Boxer Dog Rescue Northern England is a registered charity (1153127) and rescue organisation run by a committee of 8 volunteers who are dedicated to helping boxers in need. We have a network of volunteer supporters who help with fostering, transporting, homechecking and fundraising and we are always keen to widen this network, so if you are in the North of England and can volunteer, please contact us.
We never put a healthy, non-aggressive dog to sleep. All dogs are microchipped and neutered prior to re-homing (unless a medical condition prevents the surgery). A full assessment is completed beforehand and whilst the dogs are in our care to ensure that they can be matched to the right home. We are an independent rescue and do not operate in association with any other boxer rescue organisation.
Our fantastic team of volunteers can be seen below…
I’m Kirsteen – the “behind the scenes admin” at BDRNE, having joined pretty much as the rescue took its first tentative breaths… I try to keep things running smoothly and make sure the bills are paid. I live in South Manchester when I’m not away on Granny Duties or exploring the world. Fun Fact: my first boxer Watson still holds the title of the craziest dog I ever met!
There’s always been Boxers in my life, I can’t imagine being without. Tango is pictured with me, he’s great! He loves sea swimming when on holiday and family activities always include him.
As well as the day to day Rescue work, I’ve learned so much more about canine health, behaviour and nutrition.
Hi, I’m Pauline, known by many simply as ‘P.’
I’ve owned Boxers for almost all of my life – and that’s a long time! Honestly they are the best breed in the world and the people who love them are ‘my kind of people.’
I worked as an animal welfare officer from my mid 20’s. My first Boxer inspired (drove me!) to get involved in dog training. I ran classes for all breeds, attending local shows/fetes doing obedience and agility displays. I’m a trained dog behaviourist. I’ve had animals all my life and currently live with my failed foster Cookie, horses, chickens and not forgetting the koi boys.

The best result is when we are able to match a loving companion with a loving owner with an appropriate home. Everlasting memories are made
